They will kill off their awesome extension model :(Īlso it's use by some companies because they still support NPAPI plugins, you know how monolithic and iceberg-ish companies are. Chrome has also been a pioneer in new features and standards adoption and will take. What will Mozilla kill off what makes it unique among browsers? I use attachment related for some inhouse shit testing for future releases (using work laptop atm), same profile in use since firefox 2, oh god, if i started a new one i know i could shave off some megabytes from the profile folder, but that laziness Ive used Firefox exclusively for almost a decade now, but recently was on a laptop where I had to use Chrome and I had the chance to use their tab Press J to jump to the feed. Green_Hilltop: I liked the selection of Tab Groups and Tab Mix Plus more, so I selected dwtech's answer as the best, but have a +1 and thank you! (and everyone else as well!) Tree Style Tabs works well for the visually inclined. For more details on Session Buddy, see our in-depth review. Session Buddy is a solid choice for those looking to save entire browser sessions and resume them later. It is so configurable that your head will fall off. More OneTab alternatives for Chrome & Firefox Session Buddy - Chrome. Firefox tabs can be configured in the browser or via about:config for most things but the best way to do it is with Tab Mix Plus. I've been using it for over a decade and consider it a mandatory part of my browsing experience now. Which other browsers also eat very little RAM like Firefox but don't have tab overflow? Thanks! Tab Mix Plus is the end all be all Swiss Army Chainsaw of Firefox tab extensions.

Is there an extension, a theme or an app that fixes it? I found one called "Prevent Tab Overflow" but it doesn't work apparently, I still have the tab overflow with it. However upon installing it I've noticed that it's tabs and toolbar is way bigger than Chrome's, and more importantly, it doesn't enable the disabling of tab overflow! Which means, that while in Chrome all tabs will get smaller, so I might have 80 tabs on screen and I'll still see all of them, in Firefox they'll be still relatively wide and they'll disappear into the edges, and you'll reach them by pressing little arrows that'll move the tabs left or rigtht.Īnd I want there to be no tab overflow - I want to see all tabs displayed in the browser, without any overflowing to the left or right.

Green_Hilltop: So I've decided to try and use Firefox because Chrome eats too much RAM.
